The First Serve

11/15/2020

The first serve percentage should be around 65%. This means that over half your first serves should be going in. If not you need to work on consistency and technique to up that percentage. The toss should be at 1 o'clock for a righty and 11 o'clock for a lefty. This is the optimum power zone for the serve. One way to develop power is to try and hit the back fence of the other side of the court with a straight line drive without moving your feet. It doesn't matter if you make it or not. This teaches you balance and tossing consistency. Give it a shot! After a few then try to hit in the service box and notice your power and depth of serve increase!
